All to Do Their Duty
Let the neglected tithes be now brought in. Let the new year open upon you as men honest in their deal with God. Let those that have withheld their tithes send them in before the year 1896 shall close, that they may be right with God, and never, never again run any risk of being cursed of God. Presidents of our conferences, do your duty; speak not your words, but a plain "Thus saith the Lord." Elders of churches, do your duty. Labor from home to home, that the flock of God shall not be remiss in this great matter, which involves such a blessing or such a curse. {TM 306.3}
Let all who fear God come up to the help of the Lord, and show themselves faithful stewards. The truth must go to all parts of the world. I have been shown that many in our churches are robbing God in tithes and offerings. God will execute upon them just that which He has declared. To the obedient, He will give rich blessings; to the transgressor, a curse. Every man who bears the message of truth to our churches must do his duty by warning, educating, rebuking. Any neglect of duty which is a robbery toward God means a curse upon the delinquent. {TM 307.1}
The Lord will not hold guiltless those who are deficient in doing the work that He requires at their hands--in seeing that the church is kept wholesome and healthy spiritually, and doing all their duty in allowing no neglect which will bring the threatened curse upon His people. A curse is pronounced upon all who withhold their tithe from God. He says: "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house." {TM 307.2}
This is not a request of man; it is one of God's ordinances, whereby His work may be sustained and carried on in the world. God help us to repent. "Return unto Me," He says, "and I will return unto you." Men who have a desire to do their duty have it laid down in clear lines in this chapter. No one can excuse himself from paying his tithes and offerings to the Lord. {TM 307.3}
The Lord bestows His gifts abundantly upon us. He "so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Every blessing we have comes through Jesus Christ. Then shall we not arouse, and do our duty toward God, upon whom we are dependent for life and health, for His blessing upon our crops and fields, our cattle, our herds, and our vineyards? We are assured if we give to the Lord's treasury, we shall receive of Him again; but if we withhold of our means, He will withhold His blessing from us, and send a curse upon the unfaithful. {TM 307.4}
God has said, "Prove Me now herewith, . . . if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." What a wonderful presentation in promised blessings is He giving us! Who can venture to rob God in tithes and offerings with such a promise as this! "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts." {TM 308.1}
Another year has nearly passed into eternity, with its burden of record. Let us look over the past year, and if we have not done our full duty willingly, heartily unto the Lord, let us come up to the new year making a faithful record to our God {TM 308.2}

To awaken minds of the times
The time is at hand when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal. The Spirit of God is being withdrawn. Disasters by sea and by land follow one another in quick succession. How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! Apparently these calamities are capricious outbreaks of disorganized, unregulated forces of nature, wholly beyond the control of man; but in them all, God's purpose may be read. They are among the agencies by which He seeks to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger. {PK 277.1}

No time now to live and amass things in the city
It is no time now for God's people to be fixing their affections or laying up their treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing to move to a better country, even a heavenly. Instead of spending our means in self-gratification, we should be studying to economize. Every talent lent of God should be used to His glory in giving the warning to the world. God has a work for His colaborers to do in the cities. Our missions must be sustained; new missions must be opened. To carry forward this work successfully will require no small outlay. Houses of worship are needed, where the people may be invited to hear the truths for this time. For this very purpose, God has entrusted a capital to His stewards. Let not your property be tied up in worldly enterprises, so that this work shall be hindered. Get your means where you can handle it for the benefit of the cause of God. Send your treasures before you into heaven. {5T 464.3}
--
But there must be no assumption of power on the part of God's chosen people. Those who take their orders from Christ must not seek to compel others to obey the law of Jehovah. {ST, November 22, 1899 par. 6}
---
The time has come, when, as God opens the way, families should move out of the cities. The children should be taken into the country. The parents should get as suitable a place as their means will allow. Though the dwelling may be small, yet there should be land in connection with it, that may be cultivated.--Manuscript 50, 1903. {2SM 360.1}
----
The time has come when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. We are in the shaking time. Be assured that only those who live the prayer of Christ for unity among His disciples, working it out in practical life, will stand the test. {RH, June 18, 1901 par. 1}
The enemy will make most determined efforts to ensnare those who should be co-workers with Christ. All who seek to qualify themselves for the Lord's work are the objects of Satan's attacks. But the unity and love for which Christ prayed is an impregnable barrier against the enemy. When there is dissension, when each one seeks the highest place, the prayer of Christ is not answered. The enemy finds easy access, and there is weakness instead of strength in the Church. Those who exalt self place themselves in Satan's power, and are prepared to receive his deceptions as truth. {RH, June 18, 1901 par. 2}
The will of God in regard to His people is plainly expressed in the sixth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, and seventeenth chapters of John. The divine antidote for the sin of the whole world is contained in the gospel of John. "Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood," Christ declared, "hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day." He may die, as Christ died, but the life of the Saviour is in him. His life is hid with Christ in God. "I am come that they might have life," Jesus said, "and that they might have it more abundantly." He carries on the great process by which believers are made one with Him in this present life, to be one with Him throughout all eternity. {RH, June 18, 1901 par. 3}

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO BUY TREES ONLINE
Burnt Ridge Nursery.http://www.burntridgenursery.com I really enjoy shopping. Okay some would classify it as love but, I prefer to think that love is reserved for God and mankind and perhaps a few of our pets. Alright, enough said, I think you get what I’m trying to say… I also really really enjoy gardening so, finding really nice, healthy plants for at relatively inexpensive prices to help fill my garden is a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I found out about Burnt Ridge Nursery about four years ago while reading a gardening forum; I think that it was http://www.gardenweb.com. At any rate, someone mentioned Burnt Ridge as a place that offers quality plants, good sized edible plants at affordable prices. I checked out their website, spent several weeks picking out which trees and fruiting bushes I’d like to try and the rest is history. Burnt Ridge has never yet disappointed me in delivering nice sized plants. I appreciate the fact that they offer a one year guarantee on all of their plants and will honor that guarantee when you place your next order. Thus far I have been very happy with all of the plants that I have gotten from Burnt Ridge and I have gotten very healthy carefully packaged plants. I live in zone 7a and have purchased the following plants from Burnt Ridge Nursery: Cherry Trees Apricot Blueberry Fig Trees Everbearing Red Raspberry Strawberry Currants Goumi/Autumn Olive Sea Berry Mulberry Apple Thus far they have all done well in my 3-10 gallon sized containers. I have not gotten huge yields from some of them as yet because some of them are still too young to produce (or because the birds/squirrels/or night roaming beasts have beat me to some of my harvest) but I have had enough yield to at least get a taste of most of them. I love the idea of having access to the the best fruits right at our fingertips. I think that for us to secure optimal health we have to secure the best sorts of fruits and vegetables. I’m trying to recreate a zone 7 garden of eden; a place where I can commune with God in nature and eat of the bounties blessed by the Creator Himself. Burnt Ridge Nursery has been helping me do just that.

Every member of the church should be a Medic Missionary
Hello Everyone,
We will connect at 8:30 pm tonight to a Special Medical Missionary Webinar presented by Walt Cross.
-------
Let us always remember, “Faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24) and, “God will help His people to find such homes outside the cities.” {RH, July 5, 1906 par. 30}
-----------
We have come to a time when every member of the church should take hold of medical missionary work. The world is a lazar house filled with the victims of both physical and spiritual disease. Everywhere people are perishing for lack of a knowledge of the truths that have been committed to us. The members of the church are in need of an awakening, that they may realize their responsibility to impart these truths. Those who have been enlightened by the truth are to be light bearers to the world. To hide our light at this time is to make a terrible mistake. The message to God's people today is, "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." {RH, July 29, 1902 par. 2}
--------------
No line is to be drawn between the genuine medical missionary work and the gospel ministry. These two must blend. They are not to stand apart as separate lines of work. They are to be joined in an inseparable union, even as the hand is joined to the body. Those in our institutions are to give evidence that they understand their part in the genuine gospel medical missionary work. A solemn dignity is to characterize genuine medical missionaries. They are to be men who understand and know God and the power of His grace.--Letter 102, 1900. {CME 44.3}
Successful evangelistic work can be done in connection with medical missionary work. It is as these lines of work are united that we may expect to gather the most precious fruit for the Lord. --Medical Ministry, p. 26. {CME - A Call to Medical Evangelism and Health Education 44.4}

Like many people who want to move to the country the
question of how to earn an income needs a reliable answer. Maybe better than
that, it needs multiple possibilities and potentially diverse channels.
While I do not have all of the answers I can at least share
a few possibilities that I have come across online. Sometimes we have to look
at non-conventional jobs that don’t feel like they are taking up all of our life but, allows a
stream of income for a period of time to be followed by other streams.
With that in mind I offer the following listing just to get
your mental wheels turning:
1. Sugar Beet
Harvesting-Seasonal
2. Amazon.com
Amazon.com has several fulfillment warehouses that hire
seasonal workers to help out in the Christmas rush season. And people with rvs
are offered a free parking place in one of several rv parks, plus a pretty
decent wage with what is usually pretty significant (40+) hours.
Get paid to write posts for businesses and earn $8 per post
if they accept it.
Get paid to transcribe in audio files from home. Pays $10 per audio hour or $1 for each 6
minute audio file. Pays via Paypal.
There are a lot of online jobs that you can do on and off of
the phone this is just a very short list to get you thinking alternatively
where it comes to working while living in the country.
Keep praying and looking for the open door-remember to walk
through it without hesitation as God opens the way before you.
